Las Vegas, NV (April 6, 2016) – Arecont Vision®, the industry leader in IP-based megapixel camera technology, will unveil the MegaDome® 4K 8MP (8 megapixel) camera series this week during ISC West, at the Sands Convention Center, Las Vegas, Nevada. New generation models of the MegaBall® G2 and MicroDome® G2 megapixel camera series are available now, bringing new features and advanced capabilities to these popular camera families. All three of these new single-sensor cameras series are on display in the Arecont Vision booth, #8045, April 6-8, 2016.
MegaDome 4K
Arecont Vision brings ultra-high definition (UHD) image quality to the professional surveillance market with the upcoming release of the MegaDome 4K 8MP camera. This new, advanced megapixel camera displays UHD resolution at 30 frames per second.
The MegaDome 4K 8MP camera features an easy to install indoor/outdoor cast-aluminum housing with a polycarbonate bubble. The MegaDome 4K 8MP camera will be demonstrated throughout all three days of ISC West in the Arecont Vision booth, highlighting the capabilities of this advanced high definition camera system.
MegaBall G2
The MegaBall G2 megapixel camera series fuses optimum performance with outstanding aesthetics. These stylish 2ndgeneration indoor cameras feature a choice of 1.2-, 1080p-, 3-, or 5-megapixel (MP) resolution models with varifocal lenses.
For challenging low-light color images, the 1.2MP STELLAR™ (Spatio Temporal Low Light Architecture) model offers best-in-class light sensitivity to capture details in near complete darkness. Binning mode is available on 3MP and 5MP camera models for additional low-light choices.
The feature-rich MegaBall G2 camera series includes a remote focus/zoom p-iris integrated lens for fast set-up and more precise imaging. Both infrared (IR) and non-IR equipped models are available. IR models are integrated with a built-in adjustable IR illuminator to provide clear images in extreme low-light scenes. These models offer the ability to manually adjust IR intensity and angle to ensure each scene has optimized illumination.
MicroDome G2
The MicroDome G2 multi-megapixel camera series delivers 1.2MP, 1080p, 3MP, and 5MP resolutions. These next-generation indoor/outdoor cameras are enhanced with the added convenience of remote focus and three-axis adjustment to facilitate ease of installation and set-up. The remote focus feature simplifies set-up and adjustments, reducing time spent at the job-site.
For challenging low-light applications, the MicroDome G2 1.2MP model features NightView™ technology, ensuring the camera is capable of covering areas where very little light is present.
These true day/night cameras are available with a choice of interchangeable lens options: 2.1, 2.8, 4, 6, 8, 12, and 16mm.
“Small cameras are inherently difficult to focus, especially when installed in locations that can be a challenge to access,” said Brad Donaldson, Vice President of Product Development, Arecont Vision. “MicroDome G2 cameras address this by employing a remote focus lens module. The camera continues to provide the ability to change lenses for the best field of view for a particular application or scene.”
All camera models in the new single-sensor line-up – MegaDome 4K, MegaBall G2, and MicroDome G2 – feature a true day/night mechanical IR cut filter for the highest image quality at any time of day. Many models offer Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) up to 100dB at full resolution.
All of the new Arecont Vision single-sensor series cameras offer advanced streaming capabilities. They are designed on the Arecont Vision highly efficient H.264 encoding platform to deliver high quality video without straining the network. Power can be supplied via a single Power-over Ethernet (PoE) compliant network cable, or powered from a 12-48V DC/24V AC power supply (not applicable to MicroDome models). The camera interface allows for an intuitive, fast, and easy configuration. The AV IP Utility tool allows users to quickly configure or update one or multiple cameras simultaneously.
Arecont Vision megapixel cameras have been proven in thousands of customer projects around the world, integrated with leading video management software (VMS) and network video recorder (NVR) systems.
